Believing in G-d

Believing in, and Putting our Trust in G-d and Yeshua

Derived directly from the Bible, this important mitzvah tells us that we are to believe in, and put our trust in G-d and Yeshua. Throughout the Scriptures, we find sentences like, "This is so that they will believe that ADONAI, the God of their fathers, the God of Avraham, the God of Yitz'chak and the God of Ya'akov, has appeared to you!" (Shemot 4:5) and "these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name." (John 20:31).

In this page of The Mitzvah Book, I present many of the texts and look at the difference between faith and trust and consider why we are commanded to exercise both in our relationship with G-d.
