Upcoming Fall Feasts at Brit Hadasha

The Fall Feasts, High Holy Days, begin the evening of 13 September. Please mark your calendars, plan to celebrate the Lord's work and anticipate His outpouring with us.

Fall Feasts and High Holidays, Hebrew Year 5776

"The Ruach and the bride say, 'Come!' And let the one who hears say, 'Come!' Let the one who is thirsty come - let the one who wishes freely take the water of life!" (Rev. 22:17)

The Ruach and the Bride say, "Come!" is our theme for the upcoming Fall Feasts and High Holy Days

The schedule with details is listed below - unless specified, all services and events will be held at B'rit Hadasha.

Please note that this year, our Sukkot Family Retreat will be held at St. Columba Retreat Center; registration to camp on-site is per person, per day(Max. of 5 per family per night) or per person, per day if not camping. Because the retreat is not on our Synagogue campus, Shabbat services will be held on October 3rd at the Retreat Center.

Rosh HaShanah (Yom Teruah) - Day of Trumpets, 24-25 September

September 13th, 7:00 pm - The Erev Rosh Hashanah (Yom Teruah) Service will be followed by an apples and honey oneg. During the service, childcare will be provided for children ages 3 and under.

Sept. 14th, 4:00 pm - The Daytime Rosh Hashanah (Yom Teruah) Service will be followed by a Tashlich Service. During the service, childcare will be provided for 3 and under.

Yom Kippur - Day of Atonement, 22-23 September

September 22nd, 7:00 pm - The Kol Nidre and Erev Yom Kippur Service will be a time of community fasting and prayer. Please do not bring food or drink into the sanctuary. During the service, childcare will be provided for ages 3 and under.

September 23rd, 4:00 pm - Our fasting continues during our Yom Kippur service and Yizkor Service. Childcare will be provided during service for 3 and under. Our evening will conclude with a Ne'ilah Service followed by a congregational break-fast. No childcare will be provided. Sign up to bring food dishes for break-fast for the following evening.

Sukkot - Festival of Booths, 27 September - 5 October

September 27th, 7:00 pm - The Opening Commanded Assembly for Sukkot. Childcare will be provided for children ages 3 and under.

October 2nd - 4th - Sukkot Family Retreat: B'rit will host camping and hold Shabbat service at St. Columba Retreat Center (4577 Billy Maher Rd, Memphis, TN 38135). There will be community events Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 5:00 pm.

October 3rd - Shabbat services will be held at St. Columba Retreat Center. Torah study will be at 9:00 am; worship service will be at 10:30am.

October 5th, 4:00 pm - Shimini Atzeret, Closing Sukkot Commanded Assembly and Simchat Torah, Joy of the Torah, with Oneg to follow. Childcare provided during service for 3 and under. Sign up to bring food dishes!
