Yeshua and Esther

Question of the day: There are types (or examples) of Yeshua throughout the Bible. What are the types of Yeshua in the Book of Esther?

Answer: Yeshua is the kinsman redeemer (one of us, who saves all of us). Both Esther (whose Hebrew name is Hadassah) and her cousin Mordecai are types of kinsmen redeemers. They both risked their own lives to save the lives of many.

Several verses speak to my heart here ... These could be the words or thoughts of Yeshua. One section of Scripture from each of these last 3 chapters.

Esther 8:6 "For how can I endure seeing the disaster that will fall on my people? How can I bear to see the destruction of my relatives?"

Esther 9:20-22 "Mordecai recorded these events and he sent letters to all the Jews throughout the provinces of King Ahasuerus, both near and far, urging them to celebrate the fourteenth and fifteenth days of Adar every year as the days when the Jews got relief from their enemies, and as the month when their sorrow was turned into joy and their mourning into celebration. These were to be days of feasting, celebration and sending presents of food to one another and giving gifts to the poor."

And the last verse of the Book of Esther 10:3 "For Mordecai the Jew was second only to King Ahasuerus, preeminent among the Jews, and held in high esteem by the multitude of his people. He sought their good and spoke for the welfare of his descendants."
