Question of the day: What was Moses' answer to his promised destiny?

Answer: What a question. Moses was put in his own ark (like Noah before him) and set adrift. Moses surely grew up with a sense of his destiny. He was going to lead his people to freedom and deliverance.

He killed an Egyptian task master for being cruel. Exodus 2:11-12 "Now it happened in those days, after Moses had grown up, that he went out to his brothers and saw their burdens. He noticed an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people. So he looked around and when he saw that there was nobody, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand."

Then the next day he continued his crusade ... Exodus 2:13-14 "Then he went out the following day, and saw two Hebrew men fighting. So he said to the guilty one, 'Why

are you beating your companion?' But the man answered, 'Who made you a ruler and a judge over us? Are you saying you're going to kill me - just as you killed the Egyptian?'"

Moses became afraid because Pharaoh tried to kill him, so Moses' answer was to run away in fear. Moses answer was to hide and sit by a well. Exodus 2:15 "When Pharaoh heard about this, he tried to kill Moses. But Moses fled from Pharaoh and settled in the land of Midian, where he sat down by a well."

And that should have been the end of the story, but God. You know what happened. Moses saw the burning bush and nothing was ever the same again. Here's my point in telling all this. It's not a history lesson nor is it a good Bible story. It's your story and it's my story.

Each of us has a God-given "burning bush" appointment with God. After "IT" (not matter where or when "IT" is), nothing will ever be the same. Do you remember the historical military recruitment poster, "Uncle Sam wants you?" Well, God wants you for His army.

When will you get your call? Whenever it is, nothing will ever be the same afterward. Hear Him call and answer as Moses did, Hineni.
