Tikkun International Update - Part Three

Over the last few days I have been explaining the history of Tikkun International and the shift that has been happening from sending the Word of the Lord out of America, to sending it out from Jerusalem. Today I want to share with you some of the exciting changes that are happening at the moment.

To fully reflect this new reality, I have stepped down as the President of Tikkun International and have embraced my disciple and co-leader of the last 36 years, Asher Intrater, as the new leader. Why? It is because he is the primary indigenous leader of the Jerusalem ministries. As such, Tikkun International should flow from his oversight and leadership.

Eitan and I will be part of the leadership team with Asher that will provide vision and direction to Tikkun International with additional input from the other senior leaders in our network in Israel and the members of our U.S. 501(c)3 legal board.

We desire that Tikkun International equally serve all the leaders and related ministries in Israel, beginning with the original founders, but also including the other senior leaders connected to us in the Land. We see this as supporting an important new structure for Tikkun. This means that the Tikkun International Fund will no longer be the primary support vehicle for Patty and me.

As such we have chosen a new name for our ministry as we serve the Israel ministries connected to Tikkun. Our new ministry is called Restoration from Zion. The name "restoration", of course, is the English translation of Tikkun. It keeps our continuity and our commitment to support the work of Tikkun in all its facets. The terms restoration and Tikkun reflect our desire to participate in ministry that moves history toward the restoration of all things (Acts 3:21).

I will still oversee the Tikkun U.S. legal organization, our 501(c)3, and also the America Network of congregations. I will actively participate in the ministries in Israel as one of the senior leaders in that sphere.

We will need your continued support in prayer and giving as we make this transition. Your partnership has already born much good fruit in the Land and in the world. As we work to hasten the day of Messiah's soon return, we ask that you continue your prayerful support of us in this endeavor.
