The Kaztir Asher article this month is about the competing tensions of aliyah - going up to Israel. It is exciting certainly, but then you come down to earth with a bump, faced with the nitty-gritty living in the land of Israel. How we saw the footsteps of the Messiah, how we heard the call of the Shofar ... I look at the exiles of Israel and how we can see patterns of call and return developing.
