Question of the Day: How does God help us through times of self-doubt?

Answer: We've got to remember that everything in life is being played out on a stage in which there are 3 players. One is a protagonist, that is the one true and living God in His fullness, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Another one is an antagonist, Satan who is the devil. He is against us. He will lie to us and encourage or even trick us to believe his lies. The third player is we, ourselves. We can either be protagonist or antagonist. We can be in favor of ourselves (to our own benefit) or against ourselves (to our own detriment). Who will we believe?

Satan has the power of death (physical, emotional and spiritual). But 1 John 4:4b "greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world." And finally ... 2 Timothy 1:10b "He (Messiah Yeshua) nullified the power of death and brought life and immortality to light through the Good News." To doubt self is always a lie. We are called to have faith in God.

Back to our question ... self-doubt comes in two forms (varieties or flavors). Self-doubt can come from self and self-doubt can come from Satan. In either case, the answers come from God. Therefore; press in to God. Pray, read the Word, and wait for God to speak affirmations. For example, "Lord, I trust in You with all my heart. I will not lean on my own understanding." Proverbs 3:5

Here is a website I found that seems helpful. This website provided these Scriptural affirmations:

Lord, thank You that I am chosen. With You, I am confident. Ephesians 1:4

God, we are Your workmanship. We are designed for greatness. With You, I am born and destined to win. Ephesians 2:10

I praise You Lord! You are our all-knowing and unlimited God! With You, I am considered to be a treasure - I am very valuable. Exodus 19:5

Lord, thank You that we are part of a chosen generation. You have called me out of darkness into Your marvelous light. Help me to be a light to the world. 1 Peter 2:9

Lord, thank You that You have loved us with an everlasting love. With You - my life is filled with favor and blessings. Jeremiah 31:3
