Why is God invisible?

Question of the day: Why is God invisible?

Answer: This sounds like a question a small child would ask. Remember this from Psalm 8? Psalm 8:3a "Out of the mouths of babies and toddlers You established power," God is invisible so that we will build faith. And then there is this ... Deuteronomy 8:18 "Rather you are to remember Adonai your God, for it is He who gives you power to make wealth, in order to establish His covenant that He swore to your fathers - as it is this day."

Psychological studies have proven that the reason a baby cries when a parent leaves the room is that in his/her limited reasoning ability, when you can't see something it no longer exists. Is that how we are with God? We don't see Him, so we think He no longer exists.

Surely not! Yet there are several warnings in just these 2 chapters today not to forget God. In case you're wondering, yes, God is always watching. And let that by a lesson to us all.

Moses described every generation when he wrote ... Deuteronomy 9:24 "You have been rebellious against Adonai from the day that I knew you." Not just then, but now also. This is reinforced in Psalm 14:3 "They all turned aside, became corrupt. There is no one who does good - not even one."

Then what hope do we have? We have the greater Moses, who is Yeshua HaMashiach. He laid His life down for us. He ransomed us from certain destruction. So here's the last word.

Galatians 1:3-4 "Grace to you and shalom from God our Father and our Lord Yeshua the Messiah - who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father - to Him be the glory forever and ever! Amen."
