Noah in our generation?

Who was Noah? According to the scriptures, Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. (Genesis 6:9) In Hebrew the word perfect is translated innocent; not to be confused with naive. Some of the definitions of innocent are free from moral wrong, not corrupted, and blameless; a person of integrity. Noah lived in a time when mankind's behavior could be described as not less than repulsive. Are we much further from that today? Where are the Noah's in this generation and why does it matter?

Noah built something that was not know to man. Can we stand innocent, free from moral wrong, doing as God directs and not as man demands; walking in a holy direction not manipulated by the world? What is the ark God would have us build that mankind has not seen and to which we hold the key?

Our ark is the Body of Messiah; the place of salvation of the soul from the death of this world and the world to come. This world has lost it's innocence, it is illegitimate. Do we understand that we are like Noah called to be holy and different or separate from the world?

We are called to invest in each other so that we may go into the dark not alone but with those who are holding us in prayer and intercession. Each of us operating in the gifts that God has given us. The gifts are meant to work together.

Yeshua taught in the parable of the fig tree; ""But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." (Matthew 24:37-39) People will be going about their lives right up until the last moment. Matthew 24:9-14 describes a time of great trouble; however the destruction to come will not be by water but fire. (2 Peter 3:1-9)

The Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night; nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. (2 Peter 3:10-13)
