Do you know who God is?

The generations that follow depend on your identity in Yeshua

Psalm 138: All the kings of the earth shall give you thanks, O Lord, for they have heard the words of your mouth, and they shall sing of the ways of the Lord, for great is the glory of the Lord.

Exodus 10:2 ... and that you may tell in the hearing of your son of your grandson how I have dealt harshly with the Egyptians and what signs I have done among them, that you may know that I am the Lord.

This verse reminds us of how we can enhance our identity in Yeshua. That is, by telling the generations after you of God's signs and wonders. This will help you give those next generations an understanding of who God is. The more they know God, the more they will know themselves.

It also helps you create an understanding of who God is for yourself. Thus, as disciples of Yeshua, when we testify to who Yeshua is to us, to the miracles and signs and wonders He has done for us we come to know who Yeshua is for ourselves. And, we come to know ourselves better. It's important also that this verse indicates it's not just the son, but also of the grandson. We are reminded that our direct discipleship responsibility extends to the generation that follows the generation that follows us.

This may have important applications for us personally and for us in our congregational communities as we incorporate generations into our worship. Therefore, to grow in the knowledge of God, let us find ways to testify in the hearing of the generations that follow us of the faithfulness of God.
