Collaborating with Jerry Miller - 14

My last Shabbat morning message to Shomair Yisrael was based on 2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. To watch that message, click https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89KHdkilJc8 and go to about 1:42 (one hour and 42 minutes) where the message begins. The reason I'm bringing this up again is that life is full of choices. A major choice is whether to walk by faith or by sight. Will we live according to the principles of God we believe, or will we walk by what we see (feel, hear, and smell too) in this world? You choose.

To walk by faith requires that we be attuned to hearing the direction of the Holy Spirit. Jeremiah 29:12-13-14a "Then you will call on Me, and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me, when you will search for Me with all your heart. Then I will be found by you," says Adonai. Every biblical holiday (and every Shabbat, which is a weekly biblical holiday) is an opportunity for renewal in the Spirit. We renew our faith, renew our joy, and renew our strength, which results in a renewal of encouragement.

God's desire is that we would be a people who are passionate for Him. He wants to ignite our hearts to burn with an eternal flame (Ner Tamid in Hebrew) for Him. And not just "for Him," but for His manifest presence to come to earth. Now, in keeping with the previous messages in this collaboration, look inside yourself. We pray often, asking God to pour out His manifest presence from Heaven. This is good, and may He do so quickly. But let us also remember that His desire is also to pour out rivers of living water from within us.

Yeshua rose up on the last day of Sukkot (called Shemini Atzeret in Hebrew) ... John 7:37-38 On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Yeshua stood up and cried out loudly, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture says, 'out of his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'"

The Holy Spirit is the down payment (earnest) of our inheritance. Daniel prophesied ... Daniel 2:44 "Now in the days of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will this kingdom be left to another people. It will crush and bring to an end all of these kingdoms. But it will endure forever. Yeshua began his ministry in the Galilee with a promise consistent with Daniel's prophesy ... Matthew 4:17 From then on, Yeshua began to proclaim, "Turn away from your sins, for the kingdom of heaven is near."

How near is near? Luke 17:20-21 Now when Yeshua was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God does not come with signs to be seen. Nor will they say, 'Look, here!' or 'There!' For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst." The better translation of the Greek is "the kingdom of God is inside you."

This is our inheritance now, but there is a greater inheritance to come ... Revelation 11:15 Then the seventh angel trumpeted, and there were loud voices in heaven saying, "The kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Anointed One. And He shall reign forever and ever!"

Now Yeshua reigns in our hearts. Then He will reign on His throne. But both now and then He will reign forever. Colossians 1:27 God chose to make known to them this glorious mystery regarding the Gentiles - which is Messiah in you, the hope of glory!
