May God Put You In Order!

I want to wrap up the teaching on the names of the 12 tribes today with a huge rabbi trail. Here is my comment.

Rabbi Trail: God is the creator (there is no other). No one else creates, only God. When God creates, it is more like He puts things in order than just being like a magician (forming something out of nothing). Consider these snippets from Genesis 1. Genesis 1:2a Now the earth was chaos and waste ... 4b So God distinguished the light from the darkness. 7a So God made the expanse and it separated the water (the water above, sky, and the water below, sea). 9a Then God said, "Let the water below the sky be gathered to one place. Let the dry ground appear." (God separated land and sea.)

Then God began to grow plants, sea creatures, land animals and finally mankind. +In growing living things, we now know, that was an arrangement of genes in and on chromosomes. The theory of evolution (it is a theory because there is no proof that it is true) is that over time and through trial and error, the organization of genes within chromosomes (and chromosomes with each other) got smarter over time. The truth is that things "devolve" (get dumber). They don't ever evolve (get smarter) by themselves. When God's order gets out of order, we call it a disease. That's what cancer is. We even call it a disorder.

The evolutionists (who have more faith than I do) believe that if you had an infinite number of monkeys sitting in front of an infinite number of typewriters for an infinite amount of time, one of them would eventually write a Shakespearian play. Not only is that not true, but not one of them would ever write one coherent sentence. Furthermore; how can anyone believe that nonsense (emphasis on the "non")? End RT.

What does all of this have to do with the names of the twelve tribes? God put them in order as they camped around the Tabernacle in the wilderness. This is done with great precision. In chapter 13 of his book, "Alignment," Asher Intrater breaks down this order in detail.

What does it mean to us? It speaks to me of God's desire to bring His order into our lives. When we follow Yeshua, we put ourselves into right alignment with the purposes of God. That's when God goes to work reordering every area of our lives so that we will glorify Him. What once satisfied our flesh, no longer satisfies. In fact, we now recognize such disorder as sin.

It means that God's calling is irrevocable. Romans 11:29 for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. This was originally spoken of Israel, but once we are grafted in, it becomes our promise as well. He will not relent until Philippians 2:10-12 is our worldwide reality.

Philippians 2:9-11 For this reason God highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow, in heaven and on the earth and under the earth, and every tongue profess that Yeshua the Messiah is Lord - to the glory of God the Father.

Some day, we, and every other thing in heaven and earth will be in God's right order. Why wait? Do what you can with what you've got, and do it quickly.
