The one thing Yeshua did

"Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Messiah." (Galatians 6:1-2 ESV)

Part of what it means to have an identity in Yeshua is captured in the verse above. Our identity in Yeshua means we are to be people who, when we act like ourselves, are people restore other people in a spirit of gentleness. This is part of what it means to seek justice or in other words to love our neighbor as ourselves.

God made us in His image to be a people of relationship. And, when we take communion or the Table of the Lord, one of the things we are reminding spiritual realm is that we have the identity of The Messiah, who came in obedience to reconcile us to the Father. In proclaiming his death and resurrection we reaffirm in ourselves a reflection of his purpose of restoration.

As we continue our Torah study this week, and continue going through Deuteronomy, exploring how it gives us insight into what having an identity in Yeshua means, among other things, we will discuss justice and gentleness.
