Happy February! Maybe it is no coincidence that during the winter months (when many of us are at our lowest ebb and the world can seem dreary) that we read not only the great Exodus story but the other great defining and inspiring moment of our formation as a people: the giving of the Torah. You can see the daily Parasha and Bible reading plan for this week and here is the drash for Yitro. Please pray for the network this week ... Some around the network have had to suspend their ministeries in the local community due to health and safety restrictions to do with the pandemic and many of our congregations are still meeting partly or wholely through on-line means. Please pray for grace and blessing during this time and that we would still all find ways to reach out and connect both with each other and with others in our local areas. The Bible verse for this week is ... "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light" (1 Peter 2:9, NASB) Are we joining the rest of our people and the Body of Messiah in fulfulling this G-d-commanded call? This week, let us press into this calling and proclaim his excellencies!
