Isaiah - Zionist Prophet Interceding for the Nations

What kind of relationship oes Israel have with "The Nations"? Certainly not the best; in fact, it is rather more love-hate than anything else. But the prophet Isaiah found a way to speak over the humdrum issues of empire, hegemony and personal bias to address the nations in an essential way.

Isaiah overcame the human tendency to think only of our own people group and ... perceived God's desire to release and redeem all peoples.

In fact, he was able to bring a message that while critical was, at the same time, something that gave hope and created longing among the nations that one day they too would be in relationship with the God of Israel.
