Promoting Economic Equity Through Our Institutions

We may not all have influence or control over governments or institutions, but tthis is something we should all be aware of.

While this Mitzvah has ramifications for personal tzadaka and tithing, its purpose is mainly to mandate that we employ its principle of economic equity in managing our various societal and governmental institutions.

Although we may not be able to literally apply these scriptures in a secular society, I explain how we must incorporate the principle of economic equity in our institutions whenever we are able. God ultimately owns everything and as stewards of what He gives us, we are held accountable as to how wisely and charitable we use His wealth.

Dr. Juster also comments God does not give us exact rules for amounts but guidelines to be used wisely.
