Omer Devotional from Shomair Yisrael

Yeshua gave us what is known as "the great co-MISSION" in the last 2 verses of the Book of Matthew ...

Matthew 28:19-20: "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. NKJV

The vision of Messianic Judaism supports that vision, while narrowing the focus. The vision of MJ is to make disciples (baptize and teach) the children of Israel (our focus group - NOT to the exclusion of all others, but as a focus).

The vision of Tikkun, then supports those two visions, yet narrowing the focus further. The vision of Tikkun International is available here. Basically, Tikkun is described as an apostolic network of ministries and congregations of mutual accountability that function through the God given gifts of the spirit.

Shomair Yisrael also supports and reinforces all of the above in our area of Tennessee and beyond. We are the Jewish part of the body of Messiah in East TN.

Your personal mission should reinforce the above and add the gifting bestowed upon you by your loving Creator. It is the assignment of the congregation to help you identify and live with fullness your personal mission.
