FEAST OF TABERNACLES

"Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went up against Jerusalem, will go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of Hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles ..." (Zechariah 14:16)

The wonderful season of Sukkot (Tabernacles) looks back to our Messiah's birth when Yeshua first dwelt (sukkah'd) among us and looks forward to the day when He will return to be King over all the earth.

Sukkot is the celebration of the Kingdom of God and is the foreshadowing of Israel and the nations coming to the knowledge of God when

"the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea" (Isaiah 11:0).

By building our Sukkah soon after the High Holy Days each year we testify to our desire to have our King return. By dwelling (eating; sleeping) in it we testify to our desire to have Him reign over us.

"And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, Behold the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them ..." (Revelation 21:3)
