Question of the day: We see in Genesis 16-17 that both Abraham and Sarah receive name changes. These name changes were necessary because they signified a greater reality. Their identity had been changed through covenant with God. God bestowed covenant upon them through blessing. So (finally) here's the question of the day; "How has God changed your identity?" Answer: 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if anyone is in Messiah, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." "All things" includes our identity. Let us all walk in newness as we receive the words of the prophet Jeremiah 3:21-23: This I recall to my heart - therefore I have hope: Because of the mercies of Adonai we will not be consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning! Great is Your faithfulness."
