Reflections

Last week we had Tikkun America Apostolic Team meetings before the Tikkun America Leaders Conference and I head this statement. When I heard it, I wrote it down so I could reflect on it later. "Moral relativism results in us making Yeshua look like us." Think about it. Now read what I wrote about it.

Let's start with a definition of moral relativism. Moral relativism is the idea that morals must be altered to fit the situation (or our personal desires in any given situation). In other words, moral relativism is having no morals at all. To have standards that are not subject to change according to God's principles IS having morals. Having morals that can change depending on how we feel at the moment is moral relativism.

As followers of Yeshua, we are to become more like Him every day. Here are two Scriptures to prove this.

2 Peter 1:5b "making every effort, add to your faith virtue" (virtue=morals)

1 John 3:2b "we do know that when it’s revealed, we shall be like Him"

After all, WWYD? Yeshua would do the will of His Father, and so should we who follow Him. There is nothing relative (changing like the weather) to it.
