Disdain for Heritage

When a Tikkun leader was invited a Messianic Jewish home for a Sabbath meal and found none of the traditional Erev Shabbat elements, he was taken aback - why are some Israeli beleivers so secular in their attiudes towards faith?

For some of these congregations, the biblical feasts are not times for congregational gathering, nor for embracing heritage. There is little that is Jewish about the lives of some Jewish, Israeli believers other than the fact that Biblical feast days are paid holidays in the State of Israel.

I discuss why this is of deep concern to me and why I think we need to develop a culture of honor.
