The building of the Tabernacle

Our double Torah Portion this week begins with the people of Israel bringing the materials needed for the Tabernacle and working to build it. Maybe we should be asking of ourselves? How are we participating in building a House for G-d and a space where His presence dwells among us? You can see the daily Parasha and Bible reading plan for this week and here is the drash for Vayakhel/Pekudei. Please pray for the network this week ... Or Chaim have a Men's Gathering this morning, while Beit Hallel have Men's and Sisterhood meeting this afternoon and Shomair Yisrael have a Leaders' Meeting in the evening. Tikvat Israel have a study on the Letters of Paul on Tuesday evening, Adat Chaim have Online Young Adults Discipleship on Wednesday evening and Beit Simcha have Bible Study on Thursday evening. On Shabbat Shomair Yisrael celebrate Soren Strom's Bar Mitzvah, Tikvat Israel have guest speaker Lloyd Brown during the morning service and Shoresh David have a special worship and prayer service in the evening to commemoration the Scriptural New Year! The Bible verse for this week is ... "Get rid of the old hametz, so that you can be a new batch of dough, because in reality you are unleavened. For our Pesach lamb, the Messiah, has been sacrificed." (1 Corinthians 5:7, NASB) This week, let us begin to prepare our hearts for the forthcoming feast!
