Romans part 109 - Victory Over Sin 48

Romans 8:33-34 Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is the one who condemns? It is Messiah, who died, and moreover was raised, and is now at the right hand of God and who also intercedes for us.

What is the expanded definition of "condemnation?" Answer: To judge worthy of punishment. Wisdom involves judgment, but not judgment to condemnation. Wisdom is the ability of know right from wrong, good from evil. Where am I going with this? Yeshua has the power to condemn, but His mercy endures forever. Yeshua "intercedes for us."

There is one who is the accuser of the brethren, "HaSatan" meaning "the adversary." But he has been cast out of God's presence for lying, according to Revelation 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Anointed One, for the accuser of our brothers and sisters - the one who accuses them before our God day and night - has been thrown out.

Yeshua gave us a lesson in this through the example of the woman caught in adultery. John 8:10-11 Straightening up, Yeshua said to her, "Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?" "No one, Sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Yeshua said. "Go, and sin no more."

Yeshua's intercession is not a license to sin, but an invitation to, "Go, and sin no more." God judged the children of Israel and found no man ... Ezekiel 22:30 I searched for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand in the breach before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it, but I found no one. So God had to send His own Son to break the cycle of rebellion for the whole world ... Galatians 4:4-5 But when the fullness of time came, God sent out His Son, born of a woman and born under law - to free those under law, so we might receive adoption as sons.

We have to learn to behave like our family behaves. This is what Yeshua was teaching on the sermon on the mount. Lessons on how God's family should respond to anger, lust, divorce, oaths, retaliation, love your enemies, are all found at the end of Matthew 5.

Yeshua has a call on our lives that we would be victorious over sin. Not only has He given us everything we need for this victory, but He, Himself, is our advocate with the Father. We will be with Him for all eternity in thanksgiving for His abundant love. Shalom shalom.
