Romans part 155 - One in Messiah 44

Romans 11:12 Now if their transgression leads to riches for the world, and their loss riches for the Gentiles, then how much more their fullness!

The "fullness" happens when Israel recognizes the promised Savior. Who is He? Where is He? When will He appear? He came and went, and most of the children of Israel missed the day of their visitation. Yeshua, Himself, prophesied what would happen, and it did, less than 40 years later.

Luke 19:43 For the days will come upon you when your enemies will surround you with barricades and hem you in on all sides. 44 And they will smash you to the ground - you and your children within you. And they won't leave within you one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.

Read the subject verse again. What jumps out at you? That's right, two things. First, Paul is not expressing hate toward his fellow Jews over their rejection of the Savior. Rather, he is excited at the thought of their "fullness!" And that's the second point. He ends the verse with an exclamation point instead of a question mark.

The "fullness" means He is the One Who satisfies (fills up fully), makes complete, heals what is broken. In Him we lack for no good thing. King David wrote of his own deliverance like this ... Psalm 34:2-4 I will bless Adonai at all times. His praise is continually in my mouth. My soul boasts in Adonai. The humble ones hear of it and rejoice. Magnify Adonai with me and let us exalt His Name together.

Let's go deeper still and say this another way. What is the "fullness" of the children of Israel? Paul mentioned only two verses previously that Israel was seeking something, but the majority didn't find it. Romans 11:7 What then? What Israel is seeking, it has not obtained; but the elect obtained it, and the rest were hardened.

What has Israel been seeking? The One Who would fulfill this prophesy ... Psalm 132:11 Adonai has sworn to David a true promise He will not revoke: From the fruit of your body I will set one upon your throne. The Messiah, the Man Who is also God, has a name and His name is Yeshua HaMashiach. Surely God's promise will be our reality. What was lost will be found. "How much more their fullness!"
