Bearing Fruit that will Last Patricia Juster

Often, I reflect on the life of Paul and wonder what motivated him to keep on going with such zeal, even after being  beaten, stoned, or whipped. What really was behind the statement from Acts 20:24…… “I consider my life worth nothing  to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me–the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace”?

As I have pondered this in my heart, I have concluded that the Apostle Paul was obsessed with bearing fruit for God. After  all, this was God’s agenda in creating us to begin with. John 15:16 states, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and  appointed you to go and bear fruit that will last.”
