“God has a plan for your life.”

Satan also has a plan for your life.

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you are able to stand against the schemes of the devil.” (Ephesians 6:11, TLV)

One scheme of the enemy is to use the painful things that happen in your life to derail you from the destiny that God has planned for you. There is great debate that questions how God, who is all powerful and fully good could allow there to be pain and suffering in the world. Either He is not good because He allows these things to happen. Or He is not all  powerful because He can’t do anything to stop these bad things from happening.

The unavoidable reality of this life is that at some point, you will experience the pain of great loss (either of a friend or  family member), a betrayal of a close friend, abuse by an authority figure, or severe injury or illness.
